11. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and read together with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018, the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, and the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc.) Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer right you have as a Nigerian resident.

Disputes will first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, parties may proceed to arbitration in Lagos under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, conducted in English by a single arbitrator. Either party retains the right to seek injunctive relief in the Federal High Court of Nigeria.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page; the full revision history is available at /terms/history. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may stop using ShoutAm.ng and delete your account.
